How is a Drop-In Centre different from a
Child Care Centre?

It’s a place where parents & caregivers stay with their children throughout their visit and are responsible for the activities, supervision and safety. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to initiate and/or participate in activities that are going on during program hours.

Your Involvement
When families register for the Drop-In Program, they become a member of the organization and are eligible to vote in annual elections for the Board of Directors.

There is no fee to register

But we need all parents/caregivers to help raise funds to maintain the program. You may want to offer your time and skills to the Program Committee, which meets monthly.
New ideas and energies are always welcome. Please indicate to staff how you wish to contribute.

To maintain membership, all parents/caregivers must sign-in the daily sign-in sheet at the entrance.

The Drop-In Centre is a public place. All parents/caregivers are encouraged to help keep the centre tidy, by picking up after their children and ensuring that the books, toys and equipment are not willfully destroyed. With the parents/caregivers continued cooperation in these areas, coupled with the respect and sensitivity to the needs of others, is always appreciated.

Creating Together is a NUT – FREE Centre.
